ABOUT MEshapeimage_14_link_0shapeimage_14_link_1
about me
In 1991, I graduated from Hartwick College with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology. The senior thesis I completed took an in-depth examination of eating disorders among female athletes. In order to practice as a psychotherapist, I furthered my education by obtaining a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. My interest in eating disorders continued. Upon graduation, I secured a position as a therapist at The Renfrew Center in Philadelphia, a treatment facility for women with eating disorders. Having worked with women who struggle with such issues as eating disorders, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, parenting, relationship difficulties, and life transitions for several years at The Renfrew Center, I enhanced my knowledge of eating disorders while gaining valuable experience in treating women with a wide range of diagnoses. I recently completed a two year advanced psychoanalytic psychotherapy program at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. I currently have a private practice in Gladwyne, PA, in a private setting.
